The pedestrian bridge connecting the National Institute of Education (NIE) and North Spine will close from Sept 11, according to an email by NTU’s Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services.

Students can use the zebra crossing on Nanyang Drive to avoid construction. The zebra crossing is located close to NIE’s Art Block 3 and the Campus Blue bus stop.

This closure will make space for the construction of the JW4 Nanyang Crescent MRT, which is expected to start in 2029.

The Nanyang Crescent MRT is due to be part of the upcoming Jurong Region Line, with three MRT stations serving locations in the university.
